Ascot High School Privacy Policy

The following is the official Ascot High School, also referred to as "Ascot," Privacy Policy on the collection, use and storage of user data collected through its electronic applications.

Preamble

Given that data related to school stakeholders especially students are protected by law, information obtained from users via our electronic applications such as our mobile app will only be sent to the school's secure servers using securred communication (https). All current students, teachers, parents and support staff will be provided with thier unique login credentials.

Data Collected

All Users of our electronic applications are stakeholders of the school. The school creates accounts for users based on information received through the registration (for students) or employment exercises (for employees). Consequently, the app seeks to provide information to users rather than to solicit information from them. Students, teachers, parents and other support staff are able to update their phone numbers and emails. Other information associated with users accounts must be updated by the school.

The only application that requests personal information from users is the sixth form application portal which requires prospective students to submit their name, address, date of birth, sex, email, phone number, examination results and parent information in an effort to complete and submit an application for the school's sixth form programme.

Data Storage and Retention

Ascot high only stores userdata and activity on its main server. Information related to students are not deleted as dictated by government policy. Teachers' personal accounts are removed when they no longer work at the school; however, their some of their activities may not be deleted particularly those related to students' behaviour and academic records they submitted.

Amendment and Updates

This policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will always be in the best interest of securing user data.
