As the zones for the Inter Secondary School Association (ISSA) Manning Cup Football Competition have been selected our manning cup training intensifies this summer.

In preparation for the September 10, 2016 start date of the ISSA Manning Cup 2016 season, Ascot Manning Cup team will begin their summer training camp on July 10, 2016 to further intensify the training regime which began about two months ago. The goal this time is to ensure that the team makes a better showing in the competition this upcoming season.

Worst Historic Performance

Last year, the team lost all the games in which they played in an unmatched, unparalled and incredulous historic feat. The administration of the programme is attempting to ensure that this feat is never repeated. The team will be selected for the upcoming training camp.

More and More Training

The team along with the Colts team has been training together at least three (3) times per week even cleverly admist the rigorous examination schedule. Training will also look at the mental, physical and psychological development of the players. This recipe of training should shake off the poor performance which characterized last year's showing in the competition.

Our Manning Cup Zone

In the upcoming season we will play the following teams in round one of the competition: Kingston College, Denham Town High School, St Mary's College, Papine High School, and Norman Manley High School. We believe with much preparation we can do well and advance from this zone to the second stage of the competition. Hence, the need to intensify the training programme.
